So I have basically found the perfect glow for winter time.. If your anything like me my skin needs a bit of a glow in the colder months otherwise I end up looking washed out. I'm tired of grey dry looking foundations that won't make me look fabulous I need a boost...
We absolutely love Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturiser it has answered my prayers. It's perfect for my coverage over concealer or if you don't need that much coverage it's great for you too! Not too heavy not too cakey it's a gorgeous glow for a wet cold winter. It retails at around £32 but it is truly worth it. I find it great for everyday wear along with my concealer but we wouldn't expect anything else from Laura.Great for all skin types and shades for several tones this dewy finish also hydrates and protects you from the sun. Get your glow on this winter with the rest of the Raw Edge Team!
New lines are finally here. Check out our store tomorrow at 6pm! Also in the days leading up to Christmas we are offering all our customers 10% off & Free UK Delivery on all vintage lines. Just type in "XMAS1" at the Checkout. Shop Now at Raw Edge Boutique !
Number 1 on our 2011 Best Dressed list is former model, Ms Julia Sarr-Jamois who at the age of 23 is Fashion Editor at Wonderland Magazine. From her work to her personal style, she is creatively inspirational. Julia's signature afro and vibrant vintage designer combos caught our attention at Fashion Week. Definitely taking notes here at REB HQ!
and she has turned it out again at the 8th Annual CDFA/ Vogue Fashion Fund Awards!
Who would have thought the College Drop Out (still on heavy rotation at REB HQ) would be debuting a womenswear collection at Paris Fashion Week!! He had fashion's elite lining his front row from Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld to the Olsen Twins.
Kanye had the help of British designers Louise Goldin, Katie Early and Giuseppe Zannotti. Stand out looks from the show included; super low neck lines, leather, cut out dresses, embellishment details, fur backpacks and clean palettes with a lot of layering, on the likes of Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman, giving off a somewhat sport/street luxe vibe. We say not bad Kanye! The show has received mixed reviews, but we put it to our readers, have you ever heard of a rapper turned womenswear designer with a show at PFW...... So we applaud Kanye's attempt and look forward to next season!

Sidenote: Loved that the models were stomping to the sounds of the Fugees! Disappointed that 'N***** in Paris' was not on the soundtrack though.. would have been a classic #awkwardmomentwhen

Fashion week made its ways across the pond, to a much anticipating set of Londoners... Press passes & invites at the ready, The Raw Edge Team set off. The Raw Edge Team have been working night and day on the AW 11 Collection, so we made our way to as many shows as we could! These included the opening show of LFW, Paul Costelloe at the BFC show space, Vauxhall Fashion Scout Womenswear Ones to Watch show at the Freemasons Hall as well as the Belle Sauvage show at the Old Sorting Office.

Once again loved the clothes, loved the show, loved the venue!
Although LFW is arguably not as colourful as other fashion weeks in terms of celeb appearances and after parties all over the gaff.. With the likes of Anna Wintour gracing our front rows and creatively quirky collections gracing the catwalks, this season's LFW further confirms that the British fashion movement is a force to be reckoned with. Check out the rest of our favourite shows from LFW below.

No time for street style watch this time round, but hands down best dressed had to go to the Stylist magazine's Pug we spotted catching rays in a tartan jacket with a press pass!
Now that New York Fashion Week has come to an end, and the festivities that the week brings are all but memories waiting to be relived again next season, our Media Correspondent, Ngozi Kemjika looks back at Raw Edge Boutique’s highlights from the week.
This season was quite possibly one of our favourite seasons to date, not only did we enjoy the shows, the designs and so on, we revelled in the fact that the city that never sleeps truly lived up to its name. With the shows came back to back after parties and with the after parties came a tremendous amount of fun. In between running to and from shows, meeting designers, changing our flats into our heels, and retouching our make-up, the Raw Edge Team got stuck right into the spirit of fashion week!
The city was jam packed with events and people alike on New York’s third annual ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ also. We found ourselves well and truly lost (in a good sense) in the mayhem on New York’s famous Fifth Avenue.
Once Fashion’s Night Out was over we could fully concentrate on the shows and boy oh boy were we blessed this season to actually make it to so many. A great yet tiring experience, we don’t know how those in charge do it!
A designer that particularly stood out to us was Jen Kao; her use of what she terms “happy disillusionment” gave her pieces a dramatic yet very wearable feel. Have a look for yourselves here:
Another one of our highlights was the Vera Wang show. A-lister’s such as Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Serena Williams came out in full force to see what the new collection had to offer and in true Raw Edge style, we met and spoke with a few of them about the show.
No, the fun didn’t stop there! We rushed back to the next show which was the phenomenal Herve Leger collection by the one and only Max Azria. Amazing! Great choice of girls to match up with his great designs, we were absolutely mesmerised. Check out myself and Max backstage below.
The show that the headquarters of REB were particularly excited to see all week was the Arise show. We had spoken so much about it before-hand that we had butterflies waiting to be seated. It is always a great pleasure for us to support African talent and it felt like going to the show to be spectators that we were doing just that. REB could clearly see the passion and hard work that had went into the show and it was a pleasure to receive an invite. Shout out to Leona Lewis for a great closing performance, she definitely gave us chills.

Alexa's sparkling Miu Miu boot, the greatness of the girl next to Minaj, Minaj next to Wintour, the golden Wang ticket, backstage beauts, catwalk greats, power couple of the moment, front row enthusiasm, body paint, Missoni fag break, cheers to the most cheerful creative director ever and whose derrière? I hope LFW is this colourful..
