The Raw Edge Team Loves... Willow Smith

Willow Smith in particular's first single, 'Whip my hair'  has been on heavy rotation at the REB Headquaters.  From her outfits at her brother's premiers to her fashion week ensemble's this young girl is not only the next big thing within the music industry but also an emerging style icon. We LOVE her style, a true testament to her youth whilst playfully challenging on trend looks, we hope all 10 year olds follow suit. Check out behind the scenes at her Sunday Time's shoot!

First Blake Lively rumoured to be the new face of Chanel and now Leighton Meester has been announced the new face of Missoni, there is no stopping these Gossip Girls. Our favourite to win this year's 'controversial' X- Factor, is Rebecca Ferguson, the young mother from Liverpool, with a vulnerable soulful and spell bounding voice. Its a Royal Affair: Kate Middleton -New Style Icon

So last week, the British Media & arguably the nation has fallen back in love with the Royals, following Prince William & Kate Middleton's Wedding announcement. A true fairy tale of university sweethearts which the British public where quick to embrace. The Raw Edge Team wish them good luck and are especially intrigued with whether Kate Middleton will be the next nations style icon. The future royal appeared in a Issa dress ( Brazilian born designer based in the UK who has dressed the likes of Miss Campbell & Madonna) for the official interview post-wedding announcement.

So will Kate wear her favourite designer of the moment 'Issa' for the big royal wedding?

Fashion publications have since got 'Kate Fever'. Additionally, the famous sheer dress Kate wore at a university fashion show is estimated to be worth 200k! Charlotte Todd the dress designer (fashion student) has vowed never to sell the dress. We wish we Kate had worn one of our pieces!!

STYLE REPORT: American Music Awards 2010

This show may have got a record number of low viewers this year, however the stars were out in full force in their best clobber; an array of outfits across the board. Here where a few show stopping looks...

Last Night in London Town: Ryan Leslie Gig

The Raw Edge Team can never turn down a good event and yesterday was no exception to that rule. With wedges and fake lashes in tow members of the Raw Edge team and pals headed on down to Fabric despite the freezing cold weather to go and watch the gifted Ryan Leslie perform. It was my third time to see Mr Ryan Leslie take to the stage and it was most definitely third time lucky. He shut it down! Performing outstandingly, jumping from instrument to instrument, connecting with both his live band and the audience and even shedding a tear on stage for the love London showed him- one couldn’t help but appreciate what this guy is about.

Multi-talented Ryan who is a producer, rapper, singer and self-proclaimed “social media entrepreneur” wowed the audience with performances from his latest album and other tracks such as the popular songs ‘Addiction’, ‘Diamond Girl’ and more. My personal favourites of the night have to be ‘Valentine’ and‘Something that I Like.’ Now I really feel that Ryan Leslie deserves way more props for the talent he poses (hence why I no longer have a voice, I was singing, no bellowing out lyrics all night!) So the Raw Edge Team had to shout him out because here at Raw Edge Boutique we appreciate great art when we see it. Check out videos and pictures from the night out below. Enjoy!

The Raw Edge Team always look forward to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show every year! This year was certainly not a disappointment. The artistry involved in the lingerie pieces and the craftsmanship in the famous VS ''wings'' were as impressive as always! Lanvin's collection for H&M may be one of the best collaborations yet, capturing Lanvin's landmark brightly crafted pieces at affordable prices. Perfect we say! Britain's Next Top Model Live Show Report

The Raw Edge Team had a fantastic time at BNTM Live's Press day on Friday 22 October. Meeting the lovely ladies from BNTM Season 6 at the opening of the event was truly a delight. The girls looked even better in person! Presenter Emma Willis and Judge/ex-model Charley Speed assisted the girls with the unveiling of the event.Winner, Tiffany looked fantastic with her new brunette crop as did our faves from the show runner ups Alisha, Joy and Charlotte!!

The BNTM Catwalk show was truly a show, models from season 6 took to the runway, accompanied by dancers and an outstanding performance from rising singer Jessie J, who blew us away, with her unique style & out of this world vocal range!! Look out for her, definite one to watch! Diana Vickers also impressed us with her performance of her latest single as well as her new look. Check out our footage of the event below:

And of course fashionistas and fans of the show were out in full force on Friday and of course showcasing this year's AW trends; camel everywhere, hiking boots, aviator jackets, red everything, lace and sheer pieces... everyone seemed to have got the memo this AW!!Here are some fans we just had to stop and appreciate!

All in all BNTM Live was a great event, magnificent catwalk show, live performances and the opportunity to shop...sounds right up our ally!! We only wish Elle Macpherson made an appearance!! We were happy to see the girls though and we do wish them all luck in the future!!

Catwalk to the High Street

Seems like ages away since AW10 looks graced the catwalks, but now we are actually in AW10, I thought I would recap some of the catwalk trends taking the British high street by storm!

Many of us know the most common trends this autumn winter, but the majority take little notice of what’s down below...the hiking boot of course. From the the laced, over the ankle version that can climb any escalator to the second floor in Selfridges to the Erdem style, elegant boots that could be worn with a silk evening dress. I guess Beyonce wanted to get a head start on this trend from Alexander McQueen S/S10.

By now, you know all about the season’s favourite colour- camel and winter’s most important garment-the coat, (if not errr what duffle coat have you been hiding under?). A/W10 has seen CHLOE at its best with this colour trend; which has been a ‘hit and buy’ success across the high street. Take note of the layering seen on models Iselin Steiro and all things camel on IMG model Ajak Deng.

The Aviator Jacket as seen on BURBERRY PORSUM and PHILLIP LIM's AW runways, sold out in thousands of shops as soon as it became public. Some girls didn’t know it was a big trend; they saw others with it on and decided to follow suit ( a nation of walking mannequins). Just to let you know the jacket also comes in brown shades and if the Aviator is not for you, you can try this seasons hot cape trend, I assure you, you can’t go wrong with the cape!

PRADA also showed us all how to look lady-like in knitwear and mid length skirts modelled by a plus size model Doutzen Kroes and ‘industry’ curvy model Lara Stone. I also loved the warm cable knits at CHLOE and fitted and printed jumpers-GIVENCHY by RICCARDO TISCI.

BEAUTY TREND ALERT: RED HAIR!!!

Now we couldn't help but notice the red hair trend taking over the nation. Here at The Raw Edge Team we have always supported the red hair movement so we were happy to see so many others embracing it literally, from Violet to copper tone reds we love them all!Our AW Lookbook definitely showcases our support for the cause!!
